PostgreSQL DBA

Must-Have
• Provision MySql/PostgreSQL instances, both in clustered and non-clustered configurations
• Experience with any one public cloud databases
• Working experience on multiple database versions of PostgreSQL & MySQL Replication setup. Ensure performance, security, and availability of databases
• Experience in migrating MySql/PostgreSQL database to cloud using native/3rd party tools. Prepare documentations and specifications
• Handle common database procedures, such as upgrade, backup recovery, migration, etc
• Profile server resource usage, optimize and tweak as necessary, Strong proficiency in MySql/PostgreSQL database management
• Decent experience with recent versions of MySql/PostgreSQL. Understanding of MySQL's underlying storage engines, such as InnoDB and MyISAM
• Experience with replication configuration in MySql/PostgreSQL. Knowledge of de-facto standards and best practices in MySql/PostgreSQL
• Proficient in writing and optimizing SQL statements. Knowledge of MySql/PostgreSQL features, such as its event scheduler
• Knowledge of limitations in MySql/PostgreSQL and their workarounds in contrast to other popular relational databases. Candidate with shell scripts experience can be an added advantage

Good To Have
• Build (install/configure DB/cluster from scratch), Manage SQL Server databases
• Experience in configuring Always on Availability Groups, Replication setups, T-Log shipping
• Working experience on multiple database versions of SQL Server
• Experience in migrating workloads configured with PowerBI, Reporting server, Integration, Analysis services features
• Experience in migrating SQL server instance to cloud using native/3rd party SQL Server tools
