The Role:
We're seeking an experienced Lead Manufacturing Engineer to spearhead our manufacturing processes for complex electromechanical/Consumer products. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of diverse materials including plastics, sheet metal, and rubber, and will bring a wealth of experience in mass production environments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Process Design and Optimization: Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes for new and existing products, enhancing efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Continuous Improvement: Drive projects aimed at reducing production costs and minimizing waste, utilizing Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Quality Assurance: Establish and maintain stringent quality protocols to ensure all products meet the highest standards.
• Team Leadership: Manage a team of engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of growth, performance excellence, and high engagement.
• Training and Development: Assess team skills, identify gaps, and implement development programs to enhance capabilities.
• Vendor and Supplier Management: Work closely with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely procurement of materials and components and address any quality or supply issues.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with R&D, supply chain, sales, and marketing teams to ensure seamless product launches and manufacturability of new designs.
• Technical Strategy: Develop and articulate a clear technical strategy for manufacturing that aligns with the company’s overall business objectives.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 8 years of leadership experience in manufacturing operations, preferably in a high-volume consumer goods production setting.
• Extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes such as injection molding, sheet metal fabrication, and die casting.
• Demonstrated expertise in leading significant projects for the installation and optimization of assembly lines with 200+ components.
• Proficiency with ERP systems, production planning, and modern automation technologies.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills.
