We are looking for a detail-oriented Tax Accountant to join our team, responsible for coordinating and performing various accounting duties. Description
As a Tax Accountant, you will manage daily general ledger accounting tasks and participate in the month-end close process. • Oversee daily general ledger accounting in compliance with U.S. GAAP.
• Participate in month-end close activities, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Perform detailed financial analysis and prepare supporting documentation.
• Collaborate with the CFO on variance analysis and management reporting.
• Implement new accounting policies and procedures.
• Work with external auditors to support audit processes.
• Engage in special projects, including system implementation and improvements.
• Prepare various compliance reports and filings.
• Train staff in accounting principles and practices.
• Deliver expert tax preparation services to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Serve as a trusted CPA tax accountant, offering personalized accounting and tax services.
• Assist small businesses with their tax needs, acting as their dedicated small business tax accountant.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• 3+ years of experience in accounting.
• In-depth knowledge of tax laws and GAAP.
• Strong financial analysis skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage stress.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Capability to train and manage junior staff.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• CPA certification preferred, emphasizing expertise as a tax accountant.
