Role Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented technical writer to produce well-written client and marketing documentation for various ESG and climate topics. The selected candidate will work with subject matter experts and the digital marketing team to develop domain-specific content including articles, blogs, website content, video-scripts etc. As an ESG and Sustainability Content Writer, you will be responsible for creating content that supports our vision and initiatives.
Key Tasks & Accountability:
• Researching and writing high-quality content related to ESG, net-zero transitions and sustainability topics for Financial and other emitting sectors like energy, industries, transport, real-estate etc.
• Writing well-researched global industry standard articles for Magazines and Blogs.
• Collaborating with internal teams to develop content that aligns with our brand voice.
• Editing and proofreading content for accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
• Staying up to date with industry trends and best practices in ESG, net-zero and sustainability content writing and marketing.
• Ability to interpret charts and data tables and turn numbers and trends into write-ups.
Education and Experience:
Domain expertise and qualifications include, but are not limited to:
• Master's/Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, English, Communications, or a related field
• Candidates with background in firms such as Thomson Reuters, Morning Star, S&P Global, and others are preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in ESG and sustainability content writing or a related field.
• Strong understanding of ESG and sustainability concepts, issues, and trends.
• A portfolio of writing samples that demonstrate your ability to write engaging and informative ESG and sustainability content.
• Existing knowledge and keen interest in learning more about existing and emerging sustainability topics
Skills:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas in a clear and concise manner.
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Experience with SEO and digital marketing.
• Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize information from multiple sources.
• A commitment to accuracy in all written materials.
