Job description
Responsible for the accounting function and production of accurate and timely financial reports.
Essential Job Duties
1. Prepare monthly financial statements for assigned properties including, but not limited to: bank reconciliations, journal entries, income/expense accruals, analyses, balance sheet preparation, footnote operating statement variances.
2. Reconcile general ledger accounts and complete month-end closing entries.
3. Monitor and manage daily cash for assigned properties.
4. Review and approve vendor invoices weekly for payment for assigned properties.
5. Review and approve resident Final Account Statements for assigned properties.
6. Review and close monthly accounts receivable for assigned properties.
7. Partner with and support property staff.
8. Prepare and complete year-end closing entries, work papers and supporting schedules.
9. Assist with acquisition and/or disposition of properties.

Job Requirements:
MUST WORK IN OFFICE 5 DAYS/WEEK
1. BA/BS degree in accounting with a minimum of 1 year accounting experience
2. Must be project oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
3. Good customer service skills. Manage difficult or emotional customer situations. Respond promptly to customer needs. Solicit customer feedback to improve service. Respond to requests for service and assistance. Meet commitments.
4. Strong communication (oral and written), critical thinking and analytical ability required.

b) Written – Writes English clearly and informatively. Edits work for spelling and grammar. Presents numerical data effectively. Able to read and interpret written information.

12. Previous experience with RealPage OneSite preferred.
13. Experience with cost and/or project accounting, property management and internal audit, preferred.
14. Ability to pass background and drug screenings.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
