Job description
Position Summary: Supports Agency programs and operations by performing professional level financial grant management, including financial records processing involving complex and specialized transactions. Responsible for financial program monitoring and reporting. Ensures work meets Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and is in compliance with laws, regulations, policies, and contracts. Principle Duties and Responsibilities:1. Prepares, reviews, corrects, processes and/or reconciles financial documents and transactions including budgets, bank deposits, journal entries, and accounts payable/receivable.2. Works closely with program personnel to ensure financial transactions are in compliance with contracts, regulations, laws, policies, and GAAP. 3. Develops work/spread sheets and other financial documents. Maintains financial and accounting files and other records including logs, ledgers, journals, and databases.4. Develops, prepares and analyzes monthly account details, financial reports, reimbursements, and cash flows. Makes regular reports to program managers regarding financial status of funds.5. Performs detailed financial analyses of assigned funds including annual budget preparations, monitoring expenditures, identifying and forecasting financial discrepancies, and recommending solutions to program managers.6. Performs work related to specialized areas, such as payroll or loans, as assigned.7. Assists with the preparation of audits and year-end reports.
