Key Skills: Java, Spring, Apache
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Analyze code review reports and development quality to ensure best practices.
• Develop and monitor quality gating and automation strategy, focusing on code coverage and functionality at API vs. UI level.
• Ensure performance and scalability of applications and platforms.
• Develop and implement QA standards, processes, tools, and methodologies; establish testing requirements with other functions.
• Document performance test strategies, test plans, and translate complex system requirements into test requirements and methods.
• Participate in requirements review and performance testing; monitor resolutions and retain documentation.
• Identify and implement complex automation efforts; replicate and resolve production issues for single applications.
Skills Required:
• Ability to write secure code in Java.
• Understand and implement standard branching (e.g., Gitflow) and peer review practices; move towards trunk-based development.
• Skills in test-driven and behavior-driven development (TDD and BDD); keep the full testing pyramid healthy.
• Perform debugging and troubleshooting for core, heap, and thread dumps; remove coding errors.
• Understand and use basic design patterns (e.g., factory, adaptor, singleton).
• Implement API standards and cataloging to drive adoption and commercialization.
• Experience with agile and modern SDLC practices (Scrum/Kanban/Continuous Delivery/DevOps/Quality Engineering).
• Experience in Continuous Integration (CI) and Delivery (CD) concepts, automation, pipelines, virtualization, and containerization.
Java 3 Requirements:
• 5-7 years of experience with Apache Flink, Kafka, and Java development; previous lead position preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Flink and Kafka internals.
• Understanding of CI/CD tools (Bitbucket, GIT, Jenkins, Artifactory).
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
