Our firm is seeking a dynamic Senior Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial data, participating in strategic planning, and creating financial reports. This position requires a high level of diligence, precision, and a deep understanding of the financial aspects of the commercial construction industry.

Responsibilities

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for a wide range of duties including but not limited to
• Overseeing and managing the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
• Conducting detailed financial analysis and reporting on financial performance.
• Ensuring compliance with all GAAP principles.
• Assisting with the development and implementation of accounting processes and policies to maintain the company's financial health.
• Collaborating with external auditors by providing necessary information and preparing requested documentations.
• Monitoring and evaluating financial performance and profitability.
• Participating in the budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Maintaining confidentiality and exercising extreme discretion with all financial data.
• Providing strategic guidance around capital financing options to support company growth needs.
• Developing and monitoring business performance metrics.
• Coordinating with tax professionals and maintaining tax records.

Qualifications

Our ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications
• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. An advanced degree or professional certification such as a CPA is desirable. Experience will be considered in lieu of education.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting in the construction industry.
• In-depth knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Proficiency in major accounting software programs, such as QuickBooks and SAP.
• Strong analytical skills with a thorough attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
• Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
• Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire a team to live up to their potential and optimize their productivity.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.
