Job description, work day and responsibilities
At SMS Equipment, our Reman Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day coordinating of activities for the Remanufacturing department, ensuring efficient and economical operations. They excel at customer service, love working in a shop, and are great with follow-through. We are looking for a candidate who is adaptable and works well in a team environment. This role is located in Acheson, AB.
The salary range for this position is $60,500 - $70,000.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Shop Planning/Scheduling: Coordinates sublet WIP in conjunction with the expeditor and applicable vendor in order to establish job priorities and required completion dates. Supports expeditor in bottlenecks in the workflow process and proposes solutions.
Service Coordination: Analyzes work for methods and craft requirements, issuing sub-orders and maintaining total job coordination responsibility. Prepares accurate and timely estimates and quotations to customers using simplified maintenance standards, historical standards, and experience-based approximations. Manages all sublets (3rd party repair work) per work order requirements.
Parts Coordination: Establishes and maintains parts within SMS Equipment work orders during component repair processing. Liaises with expeditors and inventory analysts to monitor backordered parts on jobs.

Duties:
This position will be responsible for entering time for hourly employees into eXtend. Works with Senior Coordinator, Reman to update ISO documentation by referencing historical job scopes and technical documentation.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent paired with a minimum of 3 years’ administrative experience in a shop environment. Additional requirements include:
Proven organizational, communication (verbal and written), and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in the use of the Microsoft suite of products (Excel, Access, and Word).
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Excellent customer service skills and the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Experience operating successfully within a Quality Management System environment such as ISO 9001 would be an asset.
Warranty experience is an asset.
Familiarity with modern Lean Production Methodology would be an asset.
Knowledge of Maintenance Planning and Work Order Management software would be an asset.
eXtend knowledge is an asset.
