Property Accountant (Real Estate Experience Required) - up to $90k/yr

Job description
Located in Boston, MA, we are seeking an experienced Property Accountant with a strong background in commercial real estate. Offering a competitive compensation of up to $90k per year, plus a 10% bonus, this hybrid role requires three days in-office and two days remote, with free parking provided. The role includes excellent benefits with 100% coverage of health, dental, and vision insurance. This role involves working closely with Property Management/Portfolio Management on budgeting and reporting, as well as supporting active Development/Construction projects.

Responsibilities
• Manage accounting operations for multiple properties, including monthly and quarterly financial reporting
• Conduct bank reconciliations, general ledger adjustments, and manage joint venture financial activities
• Oversee cash flow, receivables, CAM, tax, and utility reimbursements
• Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting, including audits and tax packages
• Collaborate with management teams on financial integrity and participate in due diligence for property transactions

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 4+ years of real estate accounting experience
• Proficiency in Yardi, MRI, or similar software; experience with paperless AP systems preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
