Participate in capital equipment allocation and capital improvements, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget
Lead the Life Safety and Environment of Care programs, ensuring full compliance with Joint Commission standards
Serve as the Hospital Safety Officer and chair the Safety Committee, prioritizing a safe environment for all
Maintain open and effective communication with senior leadership, including the CEO, CFO, and CNO, as well as department directors
Manage local, state, and EPA reporting requirements
Oversee contracts for natural gas futures and hedges, ensuring cost-effective energy use
Coordinate departmental moves and renovations within the facility
Maintain accurate records and organize information to support operational efficiency

Key Responsibilities:

• Knowledge of engineering and basic safety in healthcare is a plus.
• Certification as a Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM) or Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) within one year of employment.
