Job description, work day and responsibilities
Plant HR Manager required with 8 years plus experience in plant HR. Job location is Bavla Ahmedabad.
· The Plant HR (Managerial Role)has to ensure that plant has the right number and type of talent to execute plant strategy and achieve desired business results;
· Ensures plant establishes and maintains a positive work environment and operates in support of Companys values; assists in successful implementation of HR business processes within the plant;
· Establishes and maintains a presence on the plant floor to keep a read on the pulse of the organization
· Proactively identifies and resolves employee relations issues in a fair and consistent manner that protects the needs of the plant to operate in an effective and efficient manner
· Manages and mitigates employee grievances by ensuring supervisors and leadership are creating an open forum for discussion and resolution of plant issues
· Takes ownership for specific HR initiatives that support the effective operations of the organization by developing and/or delivering HR programs (e.g., attendance tracking, )
· Identifies employee value proposition issues affecting turnover and works in team to identify actions for improvement
· Develops and implements hiring process for workmen and temporary employees
· Statutory Compliances: Ensure timely renewal of various licenses/filing of returns under Factory, Contract Labour, Payment of wages, Maternity Benefit, POSH, Bonus, Gratuity, GPCB, Stability Certificate, etc. Stay up to date with Govt policies w.r.t Payroll and Statutory compliances. and ensures plant compliance with HR-related legal and regulatory guidelines.
· Grievance Handling: Connect with employees on a regular basis to understand and resolve their grievances and provide counsel/guidance as per need/situation, Analyze grievance data to reduce recurrence in the long term.
· General Administration: Oversee general administration pertaining to the organization and support/co-ordinate for various ad hoc projects assigned by management
Qualification:
· MBA/PGDM - HR / MSW / MHRM / MLW
Experience:
Should have 8 to 12 Years of experience in manufacturing organizations handling HR activities in manufacturing, and industrial environments.
Desirable:
· Excellent working knowledge of PMS, payroll, Statutory Compliances, and Recruitment portals. Hands-on experience with HRMS System will be added advantage.
· Excellent interpersonal, written & oral communication skills.
· Proactive approach: Ability and readiness to have a hands-on approach and execution when necessary of any responsibilities of the HR function when required
