Job description, work day and responsibilities
• Lead automation testing
Job Responsibilities (JR) : 6 – 8 Areas
Oversee and guide automation planning and execution activities across all delivery tracks for large product(s) over multiple releases
Manage an overall team of 5-10 and vendor efforts to manage the overall automated testing in a fast-paced agile environment
Draw up automation test strategies and plans; Automate component, System / Integration test cases with data-driven approach
Identifying, generating, and setting up of test data to support the tests and manage dynamically for regression tests
Act as an effective interface between the development, testing teams and management
Drive automation test planning and test data generation and execution
Build and manage a strong automation team
Report against KPIs and execution status
Total Yrs of experience:
8-15 years overall testing experience with a minimum 5 years’ experience with automation in UI, API, building testing frameworks, with at least 2-3 year of recent mobile testing experience
Education:
B.Tech Computer Science or any other stream
Actionable (4-6)
Hands on expertise in test tools / languages – Automation: Appium, Python / Javascript, Device Farm: BrowserStack / HeadSpin, Monitoring / Reporting tools:e.g., Grafana, Test management: zephyr / Jira
Experience in Mobile Native app, API, Web and Batch automation testing and building frameworks from scratch
Ability to operate in a CI / CD-enabled environment, Git, Jenkins and contribute to the CI / CD pipeline
Working experience of DNS, web, application server, messaging queues, event-driven platforms. Experience working on one or more of the Cloud platform AWS / GCP / Azure
Good understanding of NoSQL and SQL DBs.
Deep understanding of software testing methods
Good understanding of large and complex solutions / architecture
Experience with automating non-functional requirement such as usability, accessibility, multi-lingual is an additional advantage
Understanding of Retail Banking / Financial Services domain is an added advantage
A self-starter who can deal with ambiguity and drives standards, tooling, and continuous improvement within the team
Strong interpersonal, facilitation, and leadership skills along with effective communication (both written and verbal) skills and the ability to present complex ideas in a clear, concise way to the team as well as Management
