The intern hired for this position will support the growth of the Alabama Data Scholars program in its second year
The position will report to the Program Manager and will collaborate with other members of the broader QuantHub Education Team
Learn comprehensive internship program management in an innovative, forward-thinking start-up context while helping close opportunity gaps for students across Alabama!
Assist with student recruiting, specifically focusing on rural school outreach and teacher communication
Provide guidance to students regarding the internship program application process and resume writing
Organize and assist with webinars
Compile a communications toolkit and automate communications processes
Help create guidebooks and other materials for mentors and interns
Create infographics and data visualizations for program storytelling and reporting
Draft blueprints for new Data Scholars Alumni initiatives and longitudinal tracking
Support Program Manager and QuantHub Education Team with additional tasks as needed

The Alabama Data Scholars program, launched in 2024, offers high school students data skills training and internships to boost economic competitiveness in Alabama, especially in rural and underserved communities.
Developed by QuantHub and funded by Innovate Alabama, the program works alongside QuantHub's K12 data
literacy software to prepare students for data-driven jobs while retaining a skilled workforce within the state. Its first year involved 26 students from 20 schools and 21 employers across various industries. This initiative combines modern
technology, a comprehensive curriculum, and real job experience to prepare Alabama's youth for careers in data analytics, data science, and AI.

Primary Internship Duties:
