Primary objective
To contribute to the delivery of the department’s Global Worker Attraction and Business and Skilled Migration engagement
programs and manage the WorkerConnect platform.
Context statement
MigrationNT has carriage of skilled and business migration programs in the Northern Territory and national and international
worker attraction activities. Its key purpose is to drive the NT’s economy by growing a skilled workforce and population.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Manage the day-to-day administration and management of the WorkerConnect platform.
2. Develop, plan, and implement local, interstate, and international migration information sessions and worker attraction
and retention activities, in collaboration with the Manager Worker Attraction, the broader MigrationNT team and DITT
Communications team. This will include production of marketing and promotional material to support these activities.
3. Undertake research and market intelligence activities to provide input into NT workforce related migration marketing
and engagement strategies.
4. Develop marketing and communications materials to support MigrationNT in providing information on relevant
migration programs to a range of audiences and promoting the Territory as a migration destination.
5. Maintain knowledge of latest trends in modern communications channels including digital marketing channels, content
marketing and social media.
6. Work collaboratively with the MigrationNT team and other department staff to establish and maintain productive
relationships and ongoing communication with key internal and external stakeholders.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. Proven recent experience working in digital communications environment and progressing range of marketing and
promotional collateral.
2. Experience in event and project management.
3. Highly developed verbal, interpersonal, negotiation and collaboration skills and superior writing skills including proof-
reading and editing.
4. Demonstrated experience in preparing a range of high-level documents and populating action plan templates.
5. Proven ability to manage competing, frequently changing priorities and to deliver high quality outputs with minimal
supervision in a high volume, time sensitive environment.
6. Knowledge of Australia’s business and skilled migration programs and importance to the NT.
7. A demonstrated ability to interact effectively with people of diverse cultures.
Desirable
1. Hold relevant qualifications in marketing and communications or a relevant discipline.
Further information
This position will require the incumbent to work flexible business hours and travel intrastate via vehicle. An NT driver’s
licence is required to undertake this travel.
