NOTE: Candidates willing to relocate to Vada location and with expereince in chemical industries may only apply for this role
Industry mandatory: Chemical Manufacturing Industry
Designation - Chief Operations Officer
Purpose: To plan, direct, organize, coordinate, and control all the functions of the plant in order to achieve the organizational objectives.
Location - Wada
Reporting to: Director
Education: Diploma /Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering/B.Sc./M.Sc. Chemistry from a reputed institute
Industry preferred: Chemical/ Pharma or any Manufacturing Industry
Experience: 15-20 years
Working days- Monday - Saturday
Key Stakeholders: major functions of the organization
Candidate Experience & Skills:
• A minimum of 15-20 years of experience in overseeing the operations of a manufacturing plant
• Proven work experience as a Plant/ Site Manager
• Chemical industry experience desirable, not mandatory
• Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise
• Conversant with developing processes that will maximize stewardship, safety, quality and productivity
• Knowledge of Industrial Safety, ISO Systems, FSSAI/USFDA /GMP, Effluent Treatment
will be an added advantage
• Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills
• Adequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources)
• Computer literacy
Job responsibilities:
• Plan, organize, direct and oversee all day-to-day plant operations and Maintenance
• Accountable for achieving Production, Maintenance, Quality, Dispatch and Safety targets. Monitoring, coordinating, directing & facilitating production & maintenance team & day to day activities.
• Establish and implement SOP ‘s and quality check protocols used to identify and resolve issues during production.
• Monitor production performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement changes to improve efficiency while minimizing unnecessary costs
• Will be responsible for timely production & dispatch of all products ensuring standard quality & yields.
• Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets
• Assist in defining, implementing and driving Safety Policies and related compliances
• To ensure all the prescribed permits and quality standards are maintained on the raw materials, packing materials, products, and the plant along with environment and safety compliances
• Will be responsible for maintenance of plant & machineries of the factory.
• Manage a team of production supervisors and employees, providing guidance and support to ensure their development and effective performance
