Responsibilities
Configures and installs network devices and appliances
Monitors network performance and integrity
Assists in the planning and deployment of new network infrastructure
Research hardware and software solutions and create plans, including layouts and product specifications
Research and analyze network technologies and present suggestions to improve existing network Subject Matter Expert on Router, Switch , Wireless Controller , Cisco ISE, NAC , Cisco Prime and MSE.
Software and Hardware Legacy Refresh activities
Software and Hardware Vulnerability addressing on need basis
Capacity Management and reports
Documentation and architecture Diagrams
Proficient in analysis and problem-solving, ability to work with other teams, and ability to assess customer needs and determining appropriate solutions
Ensure that assigned infrastructure at the client site is configured, installed, tested and operational.
Identify problems and errors prior to or when they occur and log all such incidents in a timely manner with the required level of detail.
Leverage knowledge articles to investigate and resolve second line support calls assigned
Provide remote support to clients.
Help to Identify the root cause of incidents and problems. Prepare RCA for business-critical incidents and downtime
Participate in daily performance huddles, identify causes of performance shortcomings and provide suggestions for improvement
Perform the role of operations specialist during shift to monitor SLA/ OLA and ensure all measures are taken to avoid breaches
Develop detail work instructions for L1 Engineers to follow and complete requests, process events and resolve incidents
Review the recurring or high impact incidents and manage them through problem management process
Submit change implementation plan with risk/Impact assessments and roll-back actions
Profile required
Collaborating with the network engineering team to design, implement, and maintain WLAN network infrastructure
Installing and configuring networking hardware and upgrade of WLAN devices – WLC, AP, Cisco Prime.
Experience in WLC features deployment like High Availability and Flexconnect.
Proficient supporting vendor IOS command line for Cisco networks
Experience with Cisco WLC's (9800)
Experience with Cisco catalyst model APs – 9135 is a plus.
Experience in ISE profiling is a plus
Experience in generating Heat maps & managing the devices in Cisco Prime
Experience in Site Survey tools is a plus
Experience in DNAC is a plus – WLC & ISE integration
Experience in ISE on Radius & TACACS authentications
Experience in ISE on Guest & Hotspot portal configurations
Good in troubleshooting experience of the Clients authentications
Experience in working remote site office network
Conducting regular network performance tests
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skill
Excellent experience in Security protocols – 802.11ac, 802.11ax, 802.1x, WPA2 & WPA3 Encryption.
Experience in Packet Analysis via Wireshark and sniffer capture
Understanding of network automation tools
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Experience in server operations – VMWare, Server Operating Systems, is a plus
Basic understanding of at least one scripting or programing language
Experience in Aruba
