Responsibilities
As a valued member of the corporate accounting team, the Financial Accountant will be part of a team responsible for accurate and timely accounting and monitoring of company’s cash, self-insurance, accruals, incentive compensation, and other assets and liabilities as assigned
Prepare monthly journal entries related to the assigned cost centers, including (but not limited to) amortization calculations for certain prepaid expenses, recording and tracking costs related to Cloud Computing Arrangements (ASU 2018-18), SGA intercompany charges, ERP/TICK, Stock Based Compensation, and monthly accruals
Become proficient in assessing needs for accounting guidance research and technical memos, documenting as applicable
Assist Manager and Financial Planning with forecasting and budgeting for departments
Record and monitor Fixed Assets and Leases in software (SAP & LeaseController)
Monitor Assets Under Construction and capital approvals, working with project owners to ensure capitalization at go-live
Prepare account reconciliations and perform analyses on related accounts
Assist other locations with review of financial statements and internal controls (occasional travel may be required)
Work with associated departments in understanding statements, activities, accruals, etc
Work closely with Bank Recon team as needed, including coordination of Cash Tracking and Book Overdrafts
Become an expert in SOX Controls, assist Manager in the preliminary and annual audit performed by external and internal auditors
Assist Manager with quarterly reporting requirements and other special projects as assigned

JELD-WEN is currently seeking a Financial Accountant to join our growing team.
The Opportunity:
As a valued member of the corporate accounting team, the Financial Accountant will be part of a team responsible for accurate and timely accounting and monitoring of company’s cash, self-insurance, accruals, incentive compensation, and other assets and liabilities as assigned.
This position will be located either in the Charlotte NC, headquarters or Klamath Falls, and reports to the Accounting Manager.
What You Will Do:
