Responsibilities
The Dental Assistant will be responsible for chairside dental assistance, sterilization of dental instruments, building patient relationships, and more
The ideal candidate will have experience in dental supply and inventory management
Perform routine tasks assisting the professional dental staff and students in the examination and prophylactic, therapeutic and surgical treatment of patients
Works under direct supervision
Assists in the teaching of dental students, dental assisting students, and dental hygiene students in the principles of four-handed dentistry and dental assistant utilization (DAU)
Provides chair side assistance to students and faculty
Maintains sterile, and prepares equipment, instruments, and supplies within working area
Maintains infection control standards
Maintains records of patients seen, procedures performed, materials used, and appointments
Must be able to respond to emergency situations
Performs other duties as assigned

The Dental Assistant will be responsible for chairside dental assistance, sterilization of dental instruments, building patient relationships, and more. Position Summary:

Certification/Skills:

Completion of a recognized dental assistant educational program preferred.
