As a Chapter Lead, you will be a subject matter expert in your field (Engineering or Business Analyst). You will grow and develop the capability of others in your discipline and will have direct people leadership responsibility for 5
9-chapter members. You will contribute to the delivery of data priorities, dedicating ~20-30 PERCENT of your time to squad work. This may include providing SME input, reviewing design decisions, and coaching squad members to resolve challenges, as well as more hands on complex business analysis, data sourcing, modelling or visualisation work. ## What will your day look like
• Owning the frameworks, standards, and practices for chapter members to follow in their squad work (or for Engineering Chapter Leads, cascading the frameworks, standards and practices defined by the Principal Engineer).
• Where required, working with the Principal Engineer and other Chapter Leads to develop templates, guidelines, frameworks and other such materials to help promote the adoption of and adherence to best practice in your discipline.
• Providing thought leadership and coaching others in leading best-practice approaches.
• Contributing to project deliverables, working across squads to provide SME input and quality assurance (at around ~20-30 PERCENT of your capacity).
• Acting as an escalation point for complex or challenging data questions relating to your discipline.
• Establishing a strong community and positive workplace culture that promotes learning and continuous improvement.
• Identifying new or innovative ways of delivering work in your discipline (e.g., through automation or simplification). ## What will you bring? The must have knowledge, skill and experience (KSE) the role requires are:
• Deep technical skills in your field/discipline.
• People leadership experience including coaching, team building and leading through change.
• Experience line managing up to ~5-9 direct reports.
• An understanding of Agile methodologies and how they can be applied to deliver data engineering and business intelligence outcomes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to challenge the status quo and identify alternate solutions. **Additional Engineering Chapter Lead KSE**
• 5
years engineering experience designing, building, and resolving problems across data warehouse platforms, including GCFR and FSDM.
• Experience and a proven track record of being able to take data warehousing, and wider data and analytics solution designs and team them into successful implementation. The good to have knowledge, skill, and experience (KSE) the role requires are:
• Experience delivering work and leading others in an Agile context.
• Experience delivering data outcomes that drive decision making in a financial services or banking organization.
• Experience with APIs, containerization, automation, and CI/CD is highly advantageous. ## So, why join us?
