Must be able to work as in a team environment as well as individually
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Ability to build solid business relationships with all employees and departments
Computer Literate – Strong Excel skills and the ability to use Microsoft office software
Experience working with engineering and manufacturing personnel on development and analysis of cost standards
Ability to accurately prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports
Must be a self-starter and have a desire for learning and embracing change
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times
Must be able to access all areas of the facility to determine needs; climb stairs, may be exposed to extreme heat or cold
May be exposed to industrial level noise, must ware all PPE that is required including hearing protection when in the manufacturing facility

Responsibilities
The Cost Accountant/Cost Analyst will be responsible for:
Planning, Studying, and collecting data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory and labor
Analyzing data collected and recording results
Analyzing changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods or services provided, to determine effects on cost
Analyzing actual manufacturing costs and preparing periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs
Recording cost information for use in controlling expenditures
Analyzing audits of costs and preparing reports
Making estimates of new and proposed product costs
Providing management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services
Maintaining Cost Accounting System
Assisting in Month end close of the General Ledger
Conducts physical inventories and monitors cycle count program
Reconciles finished goods inventories

McKinley Packaging, is a World Class, Sustainable Corrugated Container manufacturer with multiple facilities across the U.S. We are currently seeking an experienced Cost Accountant at our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Covington, GA.
