A category managers role is an entrepreneurial role where you are responsible for the entire region/country/category from building, owning its display on the platform, and finally owning the PnL of the category. You will also be responsible for building new product lines under it and scaling the overall category as per business goals.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee new and existing product line assortment and modular planning for the category.
• Own the display and campaigns of the category on the website.
• Identify potential suppliers, negotiate with them, manage existing accounts, and build relationships with partners.
• Increase the overall profitability of the category.
• Lead a team and provide overall direction for the category team.
• Design and implement new strategies for marketing and business development.
• Own the PnL of the category.
Requirements:
• Minimum experience of 2 years in the travel/e-commerce industry.
• Sound knowledge of online travel.
• Passionate about travelling and have travelled extensively.
As the ideal candidate, you must possess excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively manage a team and maintain relationships with suppliers and partners. You should also be able to analyze data and trends to identify opportunities for growth and profitability.
