Job Description of a Business Development Associate
Job Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Executive to join our event management team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for generating new business opportunities and expanding existing partnerships, particularly with educational institutions, colleges, and schools across India. This role demands a proactive individual with a strong network, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of the event management industry.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education : Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, event management, or a related field.
- Experience : Proven track record in business development, sales, or a similar role within the event management industry.
- Industry Knowledge : Strong understanding of the Indian education sector and event management industry.
- Existing Network : Preference for candidates with existing connections or collaborations with educational institutions, colleges, and schools in India.
- Skills : Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Tech-savvy : Proficient in CRM systems, MS Office, and other relevant software.
- Results-oriented : Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets and revenue goals.
- Analytical : Strong market analysis and strategic thinking skills.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Business Opportunity Generation:
- Identify, target, and secure high-value event business opportunities, including concert promotions, corporate events, exhibitions, and educational events.
- Expand and strengthen partnerships with educational institutions, colleges, and schools across India.
- Leverage existing connections and build new relationships with key decision-makers to generate business leads.
2. Sales and Revenue Growth:
- Drive the sale of event tickets and registrations, ensuring seamless payment processing and logistics coordination.
- Meet or exceed sales targets and revenue goals through effective client engagement and strategic outreach.
- Develop and implement sales strategies tailored to specific client needs and market conditions.
3. Client Outreach and Relationship Management:
- Conduct proactive outreach activities to build and maintain strong relationships with educational institutions, corporations, and other potential clients.
- Regularly communicate with clients to understand their needs, offer solutions, and ensure satisfaction with our services.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with marketing, operations, and production teams to deliver successful events that meet client expectations.
- Ensure clear communication and alignment across teams to optimize event planning and execution.
5. Market Analysis and Strategy Development:
- Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and client feedback to inform business development strategies.
- Identify opportunities for business growth and innovation within the event management sector.
6. CRM Management and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of leads, contacts, and sales activities in CRM systems.
- Provide regular reports on sales performance, client engagement, and business development efforts to management.
