Job description, work day and responsibilities
Leadership and Management: Act as the second-in-command to the Branch Manager and assist in overseeing the daily operations of the branch. Provide guidance and support to the branch staff, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.
Customer Service: Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by addressing customer queries, complaints, and concerns. Resolve escalated issues promptly and maintain positive customer relationships.
Sales and Business Development: Collaborate with the Branch Manager to meet branch sales targets and contribute to the overall growth of the bank. Identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling banking products and services to existing and potential customers.
Team Management: Supervise and motivate the branch staff, including customer service representatives, tellers, and other team members. Set performance goals, conduct regular performance evaluations, and provide training and coaching to enhance team performance.
Operational Efficiency: Monitor and maintain operational efficiency and compliance with bank policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines. Ensure adherence to risk management practices and implement necessary controls to mitigate risks.
Financial Management: Assist in managing the branch's financial activities, including cash management, transactions, and accounting. Monitor branch expenses and budgets, and contribute to the achievement of financial targets.
Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, local businesses, and community stakeholders. Participate in networking events and community outreach programs to promote the bank's image and brand.
Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and submit various reports related to branch activities, including sales performance, customer feedback, and operational metrics. Maintain accurate records and documentation as required by the bank and regulatory authorities.
Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes. Identify areas for process improvement and propose innovative ideas to enhance the branch's performance and customer experience.
Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. Implement and enforce security measures to safeguard customer information, assets, and the branch premises
