Job description
Marcum Search has a Non-Profit Client in Bethesda, MD seeking an Accounting & Grants Manager to oversee public funds received and work closely with financial leadership to ensure financial systems, policies and procedures are compliant with state and federal regulations. They will also oversee day-to-day accounting functions and team members, including GL, AP and AR. This is a hybrid position.
Required
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field with a minimum of 5 years of experience, with at least 3 years of experience working in grants management or public contracting.
• Two-years of supervisory experience.
• Hands on experience with accounting software packages; Navision/ Business Central are a plus.
• Strong proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong experience in non-profit accounting and project accounting.
• Ability to identify, research, and analyze possible errors in budget and/or financial records recommending resolutions or process improvements.
• Ability to organize, prepare and consolidate spreadsheets necessary to generate budget, financial, and ad hoc reporting.
• Public accounting experience preferred, CPA a plus.
