We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Accounting Manager to join our team in the Manufacturing industry. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in our company's financial operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the accounting team, overseeing all financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. This role requires a solid understanding of Technical Accounting, SEC Reporting, Mergers and Acquisitions, and Financial Reporting.
Responsibilities
• Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
• Manage and supervise the daily operations of the accounting department including month and end-year process, accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll and utilities, treasury, budgeting, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis.
• Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.
• Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
• Coordinate and complete annual audits.
• Provide recommendations for improving the efficiency of the accounting operations.
• Meet financial accounting objectives.
• Ensure compliance with all internal and external reporting standards, and regulations.
• Participate in the ongoing strategic planning process as an integral member of the senior management team.
• Oversee the preparation of all financial reporting as required by company accounting procedures.
• Lead and direct all aspects of Mergers and Acquisitions, including due diligence, negotiation, and integration.
Qualifications
• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field is required; an MBA or related advanced degree is preferred.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is strongly preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting management or a similar role in the manufacturing industry.
• Extensive knowledge and understanding of GAAP, SEC regulations, and financial reporting.
• Proven experience in technical accounting, mergers and acquisitions.
• Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound and logical decisions.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software; proficiency in accounting software and experience with a software system implementation is a plus.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly convey financial information and complex issues to the senior management team.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
