Clerical responsibilities include posting entries, verifying and reconciling input to financial reporting system output, processing payments, and/or assisting in preparing billings and other financial reports.
Responds to inquiries and contact other departments and/or vendors to resolve various problems.
Assists in the performance of various clerical duties.
Your accounting teammates will work with you to train and coach you in our processes.
Duties Keys data and prepares batches for processing which involves sorting, alphabetizing, and running tapes to verify hash counts and totals.
Prepares purchasing, travel, personnel, or related documents.
Reconciles various expenditure reports to source documents; distributes and files financial documents and reports.
Sorts documents; codes, logs, reviews for accuracy; matches supporting invoices to procurement documents; and verifies invoices for payment.
Prepares routine entries and posts financial transactions; reconciles entries and internal ledgers to financial reporting system reports.
Researches processing problems, contacts departments and vendors to resolve problems and expedite payment, and responds to inquiries by telephone or in writing; refers complex problems for solution.
Handles cash and cash related transactions, issues receipts, records and types money lists, and balances cash fund; enters cash transactions in ledgers and reconciles cash reports; prepares bank deposits.
Assists in preparation of financial statements such as billings, budgets, and cost reports.
Assists in ordering, care, maintenance, and utilization of department equipment, supplies, and inventories.
Qualifications and Skills A successful Accounting Clerk will embody the following skills:
Proficiency in basic accounting procedures.
Familiarity with cash management principles.
Competence in data entry and word processing.
Strong records maintenance abilities.
Analytical problem-solving skills.
Accurate numerical verification skills.
Proficiency in routine administrative tasks.
Experience in account balancing.
Familiarity with automated accounting systems.
Ability to generate financial reports.
Understanding of invoicing procedures.
Knowledge of accounts payable practices.

High school diploma or GED; at least 2 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
A degree in an accounting or finance related field is preferred but is not required; candidates with other degrees or equivalent skills and experience will also be considered.
Good working knowledge of general software:
Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.
) Adobe, Windows.
Experience in using accounting software (we will train new staff in the use of our Acumatica ERP accounting software program).
A high degree of aptitude and a willingness to pursue further education as necessary or helpful to improve your skills and contribute to your success and the success of ETS.
