Job Overview:
The Accountant Intern will support the accounting department by assisting with various accounting and financial tasks. This role provides hands-on experience in accounting processes, financial reporting, and data analysis, making it ideal for students or recent graduates looking to gain practical experience in the field of accounting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Financial Record Keeping:
• Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records and ledgers.
• Support the reconciliation of accounts and verification of financial transactions.
• Data Entry and Analysis:
• Enter financial data into accounting software and spreadsheets.
• Assist in preparing financial reports, summaries, and statements for review.
• Accounts Payable and Receivable:
• Help process invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports.
• Assist in managing accounts receivable, including tracking outstanding invoices and follow-up.
• Audit and Compliance:
• Support the preparation for internal and external audits by gathering and organizing necessary documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Administrative Support:
• Assist with general administrative tasks, including filing, scanning, and organizing financial documents.
• Provide support for other accounting-related projects as needed.
Qualifications:
• Education: Completed a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience: Prior internship or part-time work experience in an accounting or finance role is a plus but not required.
• Skills: Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
